Bio

I paint the places I love… mostly mountains… mostly mountains I have hiked and climbed – the Canadian Rockies, Tetons, Wind Rivers, Pyrenees, Glacier and Yellowstone, the Bridgers.

I am an untrained artist. I picked up a brush for the first time in 2016. 

 

I paint at home, in my spare time, from photographs I have taken while hiking, climbing, traveling. 

 

All paintings are oil on canvas.  I mostly use a limited palette of three primary colors – cadmium yellow, alizarin crimson, and ultramarine blue,  plus titanium white... but that is evolving.
